Rider dead after hit-and-run in QC

MANILA, Philippines – A 37-year-old man was killed after a speeding truck smashed his motorcycle along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City Friday morning.

According to reports, Gerardo Garcia was on his way to work riding his motorcycle when an unplated truck rammed him at the corner of Mindanao Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue around 4 a.m.

The truck tried to beat the red light.

Authorities are now looking for the truck driver who is facing several charges for hit and run.
