Male Australian model found dead on Cavite tunnel road

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – A 58-year-old Australian model was found dead on Kayblang Tunnel road in Barangay Patungan, Maragondon, Cavite Thursday night, authorities said yesterday.

Senior Superintendent Joselito Esquivel, Cavite police director, said passersby discovered Brenton Trevon Metken’s body, which bore multiple gunshot wounds.

Police said residents heard gunshots near the area where his body was found.

“We suspected the victim was killed while traveling.  Then the (killer) dumped the body  in Cavite to mislead the investigation,” Esquivel told The STAR.

He said the victim was on his way to Batangas for an engagement.

It was learned that Metken had a tourist visa issued on Feb. 14. He was staying in an apartment building in Ayala, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
