John Unson - The Philippine Star

COTABATO CITY, Philippines – A staff of Maguindanao Gov. Esmael Mangudadatu was killed in an attack by two motorcycle-riding men in this city on Friday.

Sadat Pandalat, 48, was on his way to fetch his children from school when he was attacked along Sinsuat Avenue, said Senior Superintendent Rolen Balquin, city police director.

Pandalat, an employee of the provincial government of Maguindanao, died on the spot from multiple gunshot wounds.

Mangudadatu has condemned the murder of Pandalat as he urged the police to identify and prosecute the killers.

Pandalat was the third fatality in a series of gun attacks in Cotabato City in the past four days.
