The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Bacon-Manito Geothermal Project (BacMan) of Energy Development Corp. (EDC) has distributed school supplies to 4,229 elementary students in 14 schools in Sorsogon City and Manito, Albay.

Each student received a pack containing pad paper, notebooks, rulers and writing instruments. Kindergarten pupils received modeling clay, plus the common supplies given to the rest.

“We are pleased to have distributed all these school supplies to so many students in time for the school opening. We are glad that we have somehow helped ease the cost of education for the families of these children and are making it easier for them to pursue learning,” EDC BacMan deputy head Jay Soriano said.

EDC BacMan provided school supplies for students of the Basud, Ticol, Capuy, PJ Delgado Memorial, Bucalbucalan, Rizal, Tublijon, Tiris, Gajo, Osiao, Gayong, and Sto. Niño elementary schools in Sorsogon, and the Inang Maharang and Nagotgot elementary schools in Manito.
