ZAMBOANGA CITY - At least 10 families affected by last years Zamboanga siege, who are living in temporary shelters, were again displaced after their tents were destroyed by strong winds spawned by Typhoon "Glenda" on Tuesday.
Local disaster response officials said that at least seven tents and makeshift houses at Barangay Hondo were blown away at the height of the typhoon on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said a 12-year-old girl was hurt by flying debris.
Meanwhile, three more tents at the campside along the Cawa-Cawa Boulevard were also destroyed by the typhoon's strong winds.
No one at the campside was reported hurt.
The displaced victims were affected by the siege by the followers of Moro National Liberation Front founding chairman Nur Misuari on Sept. 9, 2013.
