Gov't worker nabbed over drugs in Camsur
MANILA, Philippines - Anti-narcotics agents nabbed a government employee when she yielded illegal drugs during a raid in her house in Camarines Sur, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said on Thursday.
PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. Identified the suspect as Lorna Espinosa, a government employee of Camarines Provincial Government, Provincial Capitol, Pili, Camarines Sur and a resident of Barangay Taban, Libmanan.
A belated report showed that on July 11, PDEA Regional Office 5 operatives and Libmanan Municipal Police Station varried out a search warrant issued by Judge Irma Isidora Boncodin-Zamudio, Executive Judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 57, against Espinosa inside her residence in Barangay Taban, Libmanan, Camarines Sur that led to her arrest.
Authorities seized from Espinosa two pieces of plastic sachets of shabu, three crumpled aluminum foils, five rolled aluminum foils, a lighter, a pair of scissors, a set of plastic tooter, and other drug paraphernalia.
Espinosa is temporarily detained at the Libmanan Municipal Police Station.
She will be charged for violation of Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 12 (Possession of Equipment and Other Paraphernalia for Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
