Kalinga mishap leaves 4 dead

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines  – Four persons were killed when a tricycle collided with a passenger van in Tabuk City, Kalinga Sunday night.

Tricycle driver Marco Tamayo and his passengers – Michael Bactad, Jomel Lacuarta and Abegail Belgica – died on the scene, said Superintendent Francisco Bulwayan, Tabuk City police chief.

Belgica’s sister, Shanee Mae, was taken to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital for treatment.

Reports said the van, driven by a certain Kerubin Winnie Banosan, overtook another vehicle and hit the tricycle in Barangay Appas.
