La Union cop chief sacked for firing gun

TUGUEGARAO CITY , Philippines   – The police chief of Bauang, La Union was relieved of his post for firing his gun indiscriminately in a fit of drunkenness last week.

Chief Inspector George Dipalog was ordered restricted at the provincial police headquarters in San Fernando City.

Senior Superintendent Ramon Rafael, La Union police director, replaced Dipalog with Chief Inspector Benjamin Diagan, former deputy police chief of San Fernando.
