Batangas councilor hurt, brother killed in gun attack

BATANGAS, Philippines – A woman councilor of Cuenca town this province was wounded while her brother was killed after they were shot by still unidentified men at a gasoline station in Lipa City Thursday afternoon, police said.

Councilor Geraldine Yu and her brother, Arvin Loria, according to reports, were approached by two men who fired at them and then fled on board a motorcycle.

Yu’s brother died on the spot, while she was rushed to the Metro San Jose Hospital.
