Norwegian nabbed for sexual harassment

Bebot Sison Jr., Cecille Suerte Felipe - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - A Norwegian man was taken into police custody for allegedly sexually harassing two girls in Olongapo City.

Police said Hoverstad Torgeir, 61, alias Thorn, was arrested on Thursday at the Crown Peak Apartelle.

The arresting team led by Superintendent Rogarth Campo of the Anti Cyber Crime Group (ACG) reportedly recovered several sex toys and nude photographs of minors inside the foreigner’s room.

ACG chief Senior Superintendent Gilbert Sosa said Torgeir’s arrest stemmed from the complaint of two 15-year-old girls and their parents, who claimed the suspect sexually abused the victims in three separate occasions last year.

Investigation showed the suspect was pretending to be a filmmaker in order to convince the minors to pose naked for a fee.

Campo said the suspect was temporarily brought to the PNP-ACG Office including the pieces of evidence recovered from his room.
