Those with approved tuition hikes are the Ashbury College in Anda, Lyceum Northwestern University in Urdaneta City, Metro Dagupan Colleges in Mangaldan, and Philippine College of Science and Technology in Calasiao, all in Pangasinan; and St. Paul College of Ilocos Sur, Lorma Colleges, Northern Philippines College for Maritime Science and Technology, Polytechnic College and Osias Educational Foundation, all in La Union.

Dolores said there are 92 colleges and universities in Region 1, 82 of which are privately owned and the rest state-run. – With Jun Elias
