Bulacan gov appointed RDC chief
MALOLOS CITY , Philippines – President Aquino has appointed Bulacan Gov. Wilhelmino Alvarado as chairman of the Regional Development Council (RDC) in Central Luzon.
Acting RDC chairman Severino Santos, regional director of the National Economic and Development Authority, made the announcement last Friday.
Alvarado, according to Santos, will serve as RDC chairman during his regular term as elected official and shall assume the post after furnishing Malacañang and the Civil Service Commission copies of his oath of office.
Alvarado was the lone nominee of Central Luzon governors, mayors and other council members for the RDC chairmanship.
He thanked Aquino for his trust and confidence in choosing him to lead and implement the policies and projects of the national government in Central Luzon.
He vowed to push projects to address flooding, water management and energy development.
