Estranged couple found dead in QC apartment
MANILA, Philippines - A man and his estranged wife were found dead inside their rented apartment in Quezon City, before dawn Friday.
The bodies of Al Bryan Padua and Erika Mauricio were found inside their apartment along Azucena Street, Roxas District, at around 2 a.m.
The couple's four-year-old son, who was unhurt, was also found inside the apartment.
Police believe that the couple committed suicide.
Crime scene investigators found and exit wound in Padua's head, an indication that he shot himself to the mouth while Mauricio had a gunshot wound in the temple, and an exit wound in the jaw.
Investigators said that Padua went straight to their apartment after arriving from Japan while Mauricio arrived several days earlier from Dubai.
The relatives of the victims said that Mauricio and her son were supposed to return to Dubai on Saturday.
Police were still investigating.
