Man butchers 7-year-old daughter in QC

MANILA, Philippines - Abandoned by his wife, a man stabbed to death his seven-year-old daughter in their house in Quezon City Tuesday dawn.

Police said that Mark Alvin Manliclic, 31, jobless, went to his neighbor Vilma Villajuan around 3:10 a.m. and confessed to killing his daughter, Angel Mark Catherine inside their house on M. Aquino St., Brgy. Sta. Lucia, Fairview, Quezon City.

After hearing the suspect's confession, police said relatives and neighbors of the suspect went to the house and saw the girl's body bloodied and sprawled on the bed.

The victim bore a stabwound on the neck, stomach and the back.

The suspect is now in the custody of police. - Iza Iglesias
