The Philippine Star

DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Suspected robbers shot and killed an Indian national in Davao del Norte province on Sunday, a police officer said Monday.

Chief Inspector Jed Clamor, spokesman of the Southern Mindanao regional police, identified the slain businessman as Inderjit Singh, saying the victim was waylaid by robbers along a major road in Tagum City.

"The victim was heading home after collecting money from borrowers in nearby Kapalong town on his motorcycle when he was fired at by two assailants waiting by the roadside," said Clamor.
