Man shot dead near wake in QC - report

MANILA, Philippines - A 29-year-old man was shot dead while playing "kara krus" near a wake in Quezon City on Friday.

A radio report said the unidentified gunman approached Edwin Molinas who was playing a coin game near a wake in Batasan Hills, Quezon City and shot several times.

The assailant immediately fled after shooting Molinas, who sustained three gunshot wounds in the head, the report added.

Police recovered six empty shells of a cal.45 pistol at the scene.

Authorities are still looking into the motive of the killing.

The latest shooting incident followed a series of shooting spree in Quezon City, which left seven persons dead.

Police have already rounded up six persons, but only charged one, reportedly the driver of the motorcycle used in the shooting.
