Cagayan village exec gunned down

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A village official was killed in an attack by a motorcycle-riding assassin in Abulug town in Cagayan on Friday.

Allen Dallauay, 47, of Barangay Centro, was on a motorcycle when the gunman, who was believed to have been trailing him, fired at him in the village of Guiddam.

Witnesses said the assailant, who was in a black jacket and helmet, overtook the victim and shot him several times before fleeing.

Investigators have yet to determine the motive for the killing.
