4 dead, 6 hurt as truck falls into ravine in Laguna

MANILA, Philippines - Four persons were killed while six others were hurt after a truck fell into a ravine in Laguna province Friday morning.

Initial reports said that an Elf truck, driven by Domingo Arsulacia, was driving along a highway in Brgy. Ilayang Banga, Majayjay, Laguna going to Sariaya, Quezon around 5:30 a.m. when the driver lost control of the steering wheel.

The vehicle plunged into a ravine in the area, reports added.

Reports said that two of the passengers of the truck died instantly while the two others succumbed to injuries while being treated at a hospital.
