MANILA, Philippines - An Antipolo City employee was shot dead by two men in front of a university on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Ariel Bertos, 38, sustained gunshot wounds in the head and back and died while being rushed to the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center.
Superintendent Arthur Masungsong, Antipolo City police chief, said Bertos, who worked for the city’s public safety and security office, was rendering duty with Marietta Adriano, 48, of the city social welfare and development office, in front of Our Lady of Fatima University along Sumulong Highway when he was shot four times.
