MANILA, Philippines - A laborer lost both of his legs after being sideswiped by a speeding train in Manila, Wednesday morning.
A radio report said Max Paton, 43, a construction worker, was crossing the tracks near the corner of Antipolo and Blumentritt streets before 7 a.m. when the Tutuban-bound Philippine National Railway train hit him.
Paton's companions who were just on the other side of the train tracks, rushed to the scene and brought the severely injured victim to a hospital in Tondo, the report added.
