NPA frees soldier held for 20 days

DAVAO CITY, Philippines – The New People’s Army (NPA) released to Mayor Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday a soldier it had held captive for 20 days in Compostela Valley.
T/Sgt. Jeric Cura, who belongs to the Army’s 72nd Infantry Battalion, was turned over to Duterte in an undisclosed place in Compostela Valley and later flown to the Armed Forces’ Eastern Mindanao Command headquarters at Camp Panacan here.
Duterte helped in negotiating the release of Curay.
