Ex-pastor nabbed in Benguet over drugs
MANILA, Philippines - Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency nabbed a former pastor after being caught selling illegal drugs to an undercover agent in Benguet, the PDEA said on Thursday.
PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. identified the suspect as Delfin Andiso, 54, of Windy Hill, Buyagan, La Trinidad, Benguet.
Andiso is a former pastor of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ Church located in Km. 6, La Trinidad, Benguet and is included in the list of targeted drug personalities in the province of Benguet for 2014, Cacdac said.
Reports showed that last April 22, PDEA agents nabbed Andiso after he sold methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, to a poseur-buyer during a buy-bust operation near an auto supply store in Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet around around 4:30 p.m.
Seized from Andiso were one plastic sachet containing shabu, a mobile phone and the P1,000 marked bill used as buy bust money during the transaction.
He will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
