3 teens saved from drowning

MANILA, Philippines - Three teenagers were rescued by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) as they were drowning at a beach resort in Pangasinan on Friday.

RC Salinas, 16; Jomari Suga, 17; and Renato Zerilla, 18, all of Urbiztondo town, were swimming at the Lingayen Beach when the PCG patrollers noticed them drowning at around 10:30 a.m.

On the same day, two persons drowned in separate incidents in Echague and Cauayan City.

Don Don Abar, 24, reportedly suffered cramps as he was swimming at the Cagayan River in Garit Sur, while Jessica Fernandez, 15, drowned in a river in Barangay Culalabat, Cauayan City.
