Italian envoy’s preliminary probe reset

LAGUNA, Philippines – The Biñan City prosecutor’s office yesterday reset to April 30 the preliminary investigation of an Italian diplomat who is being held on charges of trafficking in persons and child abuse.
Italian ambassador to Turkmenistan Daniel Bosio, 46, was escorted by 12 police officers and two Filipino legal counsels in the office of city prosecutor Agripino Baybay yesterday morning but was told that the prosecutor handling his case was attending a meeting at the Department of Justice in Manila.
