MANILA, Philippines - The city government of Taguig will be treating its residents to a free viewing this Sunday of the rematch between boxing icon and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley.
"The whole nation is at a standstill every time Pacquiao fights. Every Pinoy is behind him. And as Taguigenos, we share that common pride. On April 13, Taguig will be behind Pacquiao," Mayor Lani Cayetano said.
Pacquiao and Bradley’s first boxing fight in June 2012 ended in a controversial split decision in favor of the American boxer, which prodded even the World Boxing Organization to step in and eventually announced that Pacquiao won that fight.
"Win or lose, Pacquiao will always bring us honor. We wish him the best in his rematch with Bradley," the local executive said.
The much-awaited rematch will be shown in the following places:
- Cayetano Sports Complex, Bagumbayan
-Tipas Elementary School, Palingon-Tipas
-Taguig City University Auditorium
-Enlisted Men’s Signal Village Elementary School
-Bagong Lipunan Condominum (BLC) Covered Court, Western Bicutan
