Couple shot dead in Cavite

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines   â€“ Motorcycle-riding men gunned down a couple engaged in the money lending business at a gasoline station along the Centennial Road in Kawit, Cavite yesterday morning, police said.

Businesswoman Julieta Espinola was killed on the spot while her husband Juan died three hours after being rushed to the Divine Grace Hospital.

The Espinolas were waiting for a ride at the gasoline station when they were gunned down at around 7:30 a.m. Their assailants fled on an unlicensed motorcycle.

Police were still clueless on the killing.
