MANILA, Philippines - The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board is now looking into the documents of a bus company whose unit figured in an accident along South Luzon Expressway in Laguna last Monday, where 45 passengers were hurt.
The probe is now being done by the LTFRB after authorities discovered an "RRCG Bus" painted on the back of the Southern Carrier bus
LTFRB chairman Winston Ginez said that though the papers of the the bus company are in order in their initial check, a thorough examination of these would have to be made.
"Hahalungkatin namin ang records dito ngayon para makita kung may problema ba noong nakaraan o dito sa prangkisa," Ginez said in a radio interview.
Ginez added that the bus company should also provide the necessary assistance to those who were hurt in the accident.
"Asikasuhin at dapat nilang bigyan ng tulong na financial lalong-lalo na 'yung mga nandun pa sa ospital," he said.
Among those who were badly injured was a woman who lost her right hand during the accident.
