Duterte offers P100-K for leads on missing cocaine
MANILA, Philippines — Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is offering a reward P100,000 in exchange for information on each of the 13 missing bundles of cocaine.
Duterte said Tuesday that individuals who will turn over the illegal drugs will be spared from charges.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 11 had said that there are 64 bundles of the narcotic smuggled into the city.
Only 51 bags have been recovered so far by city authorities from a banana company over the weekend.
Anti-narcotic agents discovered the bundles tied on the ceiling in the warehouse and concealed by styrofoam.
The batch of cocaine is estimated to be worth P300 million, PDEA said.
