Parts of MM roads to be reblocked
MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has advised motorists to expect heavy traffic along EDSA over the weekend as some parts of the highway in Quezon City, Caloocan and Pasay will be reblocked by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
In an advisory, the MMDA said the reblocking started at 10 p.m. last night and will end at 5 a.m. on Monday.
Affected by the reblocking are portions of EDSA between Loring St. and Park Avenue (southbound) in Pasay City; between Main Avenue and P. Tuazon (2nd lane, northbound) in Quezon City; between Caloocan/Quezon City Boundary and F. Aguillar Street (lane 6), between Malvar St and Arellano Street (lane 6), between Concepcion Street and Gen. Tinio Street (lane 6) in Caloocan City.
Also affected by the reblocking are Kamuning Road between Sct. Turillo and Sct. Ybardoloza (2nd lane, eastbound) in Quezon City.
The MMDA is advising motorists to avoid the areas being reblocked and take alternative routes.
According to the MMDA, all the reblocked areas will be made passable to traffic by Monday morning.
