Mother and child found dead at BGC
MANILA, Philippines - A woman and her young daughter were found dead early Thursday along C-5 Road in Taguig City, near the Treston International College at the Bonifacio Global City.
Chief Superintendent Jose Erwin Villacorte, Southern Police District (SPD) director, said the woman who is about 30 to 34 years old and her child were found at around 6 a.m. sprawled beside each other at the foot of a Meralco electric post.
Villacorte said the victims showed head injuries that could have been caused by a blunt object. He said rocks with traces of blood were found near the bodies.
"Investigators found at the crime scene rocks which have traces of blood. But we are still investigating," said Villacorte.
He said they are still determining the identities of the victims.
Villacorte also said investigators are now talking to a witness who have seen the woman talking with an unidentified man at the crime scene at about 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
"The witness saw the woman who was holding the child, talking with the man while they were seating on the pavement gutter," he said.
Villacorte said a composite sketch of the man is now being done by the Taguig police based on the description given by the witness.
Taguig Police chief Senior Superintendent Arthur Asis, meanwhile, described the woman as about 5 foot tall, wearing a red shirt and a pair of blue jeans. She is of fair complexion and has long black hair.
The girl, meanwhile, was also wearing a red T-shirt and a pair of printed long pants. She is also of fair complexion.
Asis said no identification documents were found on the victims.
The bodies of the victims are now at the Lady of Loreto Funeral Homes in Taguig City.
