Pastor shot dead in Cotabato

NORTH COTABATO, Philippines – A lone gunman killed a pastor of the Pentecostal Church in Alamada town this province on Monday night.

The victim, Reynaldo Manganyan Gutoman, 43, and members of his family had just emerged from the church where he helped preside over a congregational prayer when the gunman, armed with an M-16 assault rifle, approached and fired at him several times.

Gutoman was declared dead on arrival at a hospital in nearby Midsayap town. Police were still clueless on the killing.
