MANILA, Philippines - The camp of businessman Cedric Lee and model Deniece Cornejo filed a formal request before the Department of Justice (DOJ) to issue a lookout bulletin order against actor Vhong Navarro.

Lawyer Howard Calleja, representing Lee and Cornejo, said in a radio interview on Tuesday that Navarro should also be warned against leaving the country for the sake of fairness.

"Kung nakitang pinaskil ang picture ng kliyente ko, eh dapat ipaskil rin ang picture niya, na sa lahat, na may kaso siyang rape," Calleja said.

Justice Secretary Leila de Lima last week ordered Cornejo and Lee's group to be be placed on the Bureau of Immigration's lookout bulletin.

Cornejo's group faces charges for serious illegal detention, serious physical injuries and grave threat among others.

Calleja said that Navarro himself faces rape charges against Cornejo, whom he met twice in private. He pointed out that sexual assault is also a non-bailable offense.

Cornejo, Lee, his sister Berniece, friends Ferdinand Guerrero and Zimmer Rance have received the subpoena from the DOJ to face a panel of prosecutors on February 14 and February 21.
