Quezon b’gay chief dead, son, helper hurt in attack
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna , Philippines – A village chief was killed while his 10-year-old son and a household helper were wounded when two men attacked them in their house in San Andres, Quezon last Tuesday morning, authorities said.
Moises Tawatao, chairman of Barangay Tala, was killed on the spot, while his son, Jasper, 10, who was hit in the right foot, and helper Aldrin Ariola, 37, were rushed to the Bondoc Peninsula District Hospital.
Tawatao and his son were in the house when the two armed men arrived and asked for Tawatao’s wife.
When told that she was not around, one of the two men shot Tawatao. Although wounded, Tawatao ran to his room, but he was chased and shot again.
Police were still clueless on the attack.
