LANAO DEL SUR, Philippines  – Investigators  have yet to find a lead  on Friday night’s explosion near the municipal hall of the seaside Malabang town in the second district of the province.

Chief Supt. Noel Delos Reyes, director of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) police, said there were indications dynamites for blast fishing, fashioned from ammonium nitrate mixed with petroleum, were used in the bombing.

No one was reported killed or injured in the bombing, but the blast triggered panic among villagers residing around the Malabang municipal hall.

Malabang accounts for most number of clan wars, involving Maranaw clans, in the second district of the province.

Delos Reyes said investigators have enlisted the help of local traditional and religious in identifying the culprits.
