2 car theft suspects slain in Tarlac

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – Two alleged car thieves were killed in an exchange of fire with Tarlac policemen in Paniqui, Tarlac, at dawn yesterday.
The names of the two suspects were not immediately available as of press time, according to Senior Superintendent Alex Sintin, Tarlac police director.
Sintin said before the firefight, local police were pursuing the two men after they reportedly stole a vehicle in Barangay Samput, Paniqui. He said the men opened fire at the policemen, triggering a firefight.
