6, including cop, nabbed in Batangas - report

MANILA, Philippines - Authorities on Wednesday arrested six suspected members of a gun for hire and drug ring, including a policeman, in Batangas province.

Reports said joint elements of the National Bureau of Investigation, Philippine Army and Air Force, armed with a search warrant issued by the Malabon Regional Trial Court, nabbed the suspects in Calaca, Batangas.

The raiding team also seized high powered firearms including a M-16 assault rifle and cal.45 automatic pistols, report added.

Reports said that another similar raid was conducted in another town of Batangas.
