Student nabbed for marijuana

MANGALDAN, Pangasinan, Philippines - – A high school student was caught selling marijuana leaves to his schoolmates on Monday.

Jason Abrigo, 19, was arrested by security guards of Mangaldan National High School after they reportedly saw him selling marijuana on campus, Police Officer 3 Gilbert Orias said.

Abrigo reportedly yielded 13 plastic sachets of dried marijuana leaves, 70 empty plastic sachets, two cell phones, a flash drive, a disposable lighter, a pair of scissors and P210.

Orias said Abrigo allegedly sells a plastic sachet of marijuana for P50 each. He reportedly got his supplies from a former classmate.

Abrigo told police it was his first time to sell marijuana and he was set to return it to his source when he was caught.      

Police said they would look into the messages in the student’s cell phones to arrest his source.
