2 dead as SUV rams waiting shed

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines – Two college students were killed when their sport utility vehicle rammed a waiting shed in the town of Enrile in Cagayan  on Thursday.

Kelly Rose Dalin and Christian Angelou Aggarao, both of Tuguegarao City, the capital of Cagayan, died at the scene, according to Police Officer 2 Jaime Lallabban.

Their companions, John Edward Macapagal and Vanessa Marie Malana, and the driver Marvin Malana, were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

Reports said Marvin failed to notice the waiting shed while negotiating a curve along the highway.  

Marvin was reportedly unfamiliar with the area as he was just on a vacation from Canada.
