Jailed hired gun tagged in Zambo university prexy's killing

ZAMBOANGA City, Philippines - A hired killer arrested November last year for the assassination of a lawyer is also tagged as the shooter of a Universidad de Zamboanga president in 2012.

Chief Superintendent Mario Yanga, Zamboanga City Police Office acting chief, said captured suspect Moamar Cabuyao, who is known for several aliases, has been tagged as the shooter of university president Arturo Eustaquio last May 31, 2012.

Eustaquio was driving a motorcycle and was only a few meters away from his house in Barangay Sta. Maria, when he was shot dead.

“A reliable witness positively identified the suspect through various information surrounding the identity and activity of the suspect,” Yanga told newsmen here.

Yanga said Cabuyao was arrested last November 13 in Ipil town in connection with the killing of Jocelyn Luna, tourism officer and legal adviser of Tungawan town, Zamboanga Sibugay province.

Charges have been filed against Cabuyao in connection with the separate killings.
