10-year-old boy kills self with pa’s gun

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – A 10-year-old boy shot himself dead after toying with the homemade .38-caliber revolver of his security guard father in their house in the village of Nagsabaran in Balaoan, La Union last Wednesday, police said.

Police said the victim, Christian Dave Bocarille, son of security guard Elpidio Bocarille, died while being treated in the hospital for the bullet wound in his body. Reports said the boy’s parents were preparing lunch when they heard a shot from their room.

Police are investigating the elder Bocarille on his homemade gun.
