Willie Nep's grandson, another hurt in Marikina shooting

MANILA, Philippines - Two teenage boys, including a grandson of impersonator Willie Nepomuceno, were seriously wounded after they were attacked by gun-wielding men in Marikina City Thursday early dawn.

In a phone patch interview over DZMM, quoting witnesses, Nepomuceno said his  16-year-old grandson, and  three of the latter's friends, all high school graduates, were inside an eatery when a white vehicle arrived around 2:50 a.m.

He said one of the suspects alighted then fired a warning shot then confronted his grandson and three of his friends, who just finished ordering breakfast.

"Kayo yun! Kayo yun!," Nepomuceno quoted one of the gunmen as saying as the suspects approached his grandson's group.

Nepomuceno said one the suspects even gun whipped one of his grandson's friends. Sensing something wrong, Sean and his friends ran away from the area as the gunmen shot them.

One of Nepomuceno's grandspn friends was also hit during the shooting.

Nepomuceno said his grandson is now being treated for three gunshot wounds at the Amang Rodriguez Medical Center.

He said empty shells of cal.45 and cal.40 automatic pistols were recovered from the scene.
 
Meanwhile, in a separate phone patch interview, Senior Police Officer 1 Gemma Mirabuena of the Marikina Police women and children's desk said they are now verifying the registered owner of the vehicle used by the suspects with the Land Transporation Office.

"Napagkamalan po yata kasi apat rin po yung kaaway nung mga suspek," Mirabuena said.
