11 hurt as 2 buses collide in South Cotabato

KORONADAL CITY, Philippines  --- Eleven passengers were injured when two units of the Yellow Bus Line (YBL) collided Wednesday at a secluded stretch of a national highway at the border of the city and Banga town in South Cotabato.

The YBL management said  the injured passengers were taken  to a hospital for medication.

Investigators said the driver of one of the two buses was trying to avoid a speeding motorcycle from the opposite direction of the highway when the other bus suddenly appeared from a sharp curve.

The drivers of the two buses voluntarily yielded to police. - John Unson
