MANILA, Philippines - A 50-year-old trader from Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental yesterday claimed the P43-million jackpot of the 6/45 Mega Lotto’s Dec. 27 draw.
Jose Ferdinand Rojas II, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office general manager, said the lucky player hit the six-digit winning combination of 26-27-15-21-29-45, which had a jackpot of P43,195,580.
Rojas said the winner was afraid that he might get robbed that he asked two nephews in Manila to accompany him to the PCSO office.
Rojas assured lotto winners though that they have nothing to fear, as they are safe at the PCSO office.
