3 dead in Taguig City shooting

MANILA, Philippines - Three persons were killed after being shot by an alleged retired soldier at the Palar (Philippine Light Armor Regiment) Village in Barangay Pingasama in Taguig City Tuesday.

Initial reports reaching the Southern Police District (SPD) said the shooting occurred at about 9 a.m. at Mt. Apo Extension St.

Police said the three still unidentified victims were declared dead on arrival at the nearby Ospital ng Makati.

Police said at least eight suspects were arrested in connection with the shooting. The identities of the suspects were withheld.

Investigators are also still looking into the motive behind the shootings.
