MANILA, Philippines - Rains will continue to affect most parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila, this weekend due to the northeast monsoon, according to the state weather bureau.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Palawan and the Bicol region will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the regions of Cagayan Valley, Ilocos, and Cordillera will experience cloudy skies with light rains.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies will prevail over the Calabarzon region, composed of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains and thunderstorms.

PAGASA said no tropical cyclone is expected to affect the country until the end of the year.

PAGASA also said Batanes, Calayan, Babuyan, Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Isabela, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan and Aurora will continue to have rough to very rough sea conditions due to the surge of the northeast monsoon.
