Girl raped, killed in Taguig

MANILA, Philippines - A nine-year old girl was found murdered on Friday after allegedly being raped at a dark area in Barangay Sta. Ana in Taguig City.

Police said the body of the victim was found with her throat slashed.

A suspect identified as Mario Cruz was later arrested by the police but denied his involvement in the crime.

Police said before 30 minutes before she was found dead, the victim was asked by her grandmother to buy diapers.

The victim's body was later brought to the Loreto Funeral Homes in Lower Bicutan in Taguig City.
