KIDAPAWAN CITY, Philippines – Authorities have launched a manhunt for the six detainees who bolted the city jail here at dawn Sunday.
The inmates reportedly sawed the iron grills of the window at their cell, according to Superintendent Leo Ajero, head of the city police.
Investigators found at the cell a bottle of used engine oil, which was apparently used by the inmates to reduce the noise when they sawed the grills.
Ajero said the fugitives were facing illegal drugs and robbery charges.
