CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga , Philippines   â€“ An alleged Taiwanese chemist was arrested during a buy-bust operation which led to the discovery of a shabu laboratory at his apartment in the town of Guiguinto in Bulacan on Friday.

Liu-Zhihua, alias Peter Tan Lee, was arrested after he reportedly sold shabu to an undercover agent in Barangay Sta. Rita, according to Chief Superintendent Raul Petrasanta, director of Police Regional Office 3.

Petrasanta said Liu-Zhihua ran to his apartment when he noticed the lawmen around as the transaction was being conducted.

Pursuing operatives cornered him at his apartment where a shabu laboratory was found.

Authorities recovered chemicals and equipment believed used in the manufacture of shabu.

Petrasanta said the laboratory is capable of producing 10 kilos of drugs within six to eight hours.
