Northeast monsoon to bring rains in northern, central Luzon

MANILA, Philippines - The northeast monsoon is affecting northern and central Luzon, bringing cloudy skies with light rains on Saturday over the Cordilleras, Ilocos Region as well as Cagayan, Aurora and Nueva Ecija provinces.

In its latest weather outlook, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services added that Metro Manila and the rest of central Luzon  will have partly to cloudy skies with light rains.

The rest of the country, meanwhile, will be "partly to cloudy with isolated rainshowers  or thuderstorms."

PAGASA added that moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.
