Atty. Fortun's wife shot in front of Las Piñas home

MANILA, Philippines - The wife of lawyer Raymond Fortun was shot in front of their house in BF Homes, in Almanza, Las Piñas, Thursday night.
 
Caroline Fortun was rushed to the Perpetual Hospital by her husband. She is now in stable condition, her husband said in a text message.
 
According to the Southern Police District, Caroline was getting off her car in front of their house along CRM Avenue at about 8:05 p.m. when one of two unidentified suspects approached and shot her.
 
The suspects then fled on board a motorcycle towards an unknown direction, police said.
 
The lawyer said in a text message that his wife had just finished serving at a Mass when she was shot.
 
According to Raymond, his wife sustained a gunshot wound in the right cheek. The bullet exited at the back of the neck.
 
Raymond is the lawyer of Mariane Cayton, the owner of the Serendra condominium unit which was destroyed by an explosion caused by a gas leak.
